What this means for you:

IRC in any game!
(Means private channels beyond what most games allow -- no more being limited by team chat or faction/guild chat channels) -- all the wonderful things IRC has.

Built in Radio player
(You can tune in to your favorite online radio station with a special bonus... if the song sucks or dj won't shut up, you can switch to a new station or play a random mp3 from your drive then have it automatically tune back in after your mp3 is done.)

Stays on top of your game (and other windows) as a Transparent DirectX Overlay
(It won't show up in screenshots which is why the video is taken of the monitor with the overlay on)

So far the reports are lots of crashes. But I have successfully tested it on a few systems.

Very nice.  Now that is useful addition to any game.  Specially when some games monitor, track or censor their in game chats.

Look very impressive, can't wait till a more stable version is out.  I like his willingness to customize as well.

Just before I download it and try it, TW, will I be able to play only MP3's on my drive? I don't really like radio and would like to have the ability to have the player on-screen all the time without alt-tabbing or such to switch a song.

Let's see how it works out...

Yes but it hasn't been added to the current version.
I'm mostly concerned with stability and how many people it works with.

That is a feature that can be added though.

Whoops, forgot to download that NET 1.1 thingy. So this NET 1.1 will enable me to use programs built off such code or something or rather...? Is it useful, basically, for anything else besides the Overlay?

well it works fine for me =D  absolutly no lag i'll grind some mmorpgs later and run it through some field testing
