Welcome to The Matrix Online @ rumbaar.net
Well the purpose of this site is firstly to promote the Matrix Online game, and secondly form a collection of individuals with a team orientated attitude. The game benefits from groups of like minded gamers working together at times to perform a single or collective goal. This I feel involved forming a Faction.
But I'm hoping this site will also be a place that others participate in (via the forum or news) to promote their site/faction and even recruit. So feel free to join and just hang out if you like, don't think membership means you are automatically part of the faction. I'm also hoping to include more features in the future, so bookmark and check back often.
So finally remember to enjoy yourself, that's what we're here for, OH and tell your friends :)

The Story So Far...
Posted by cloudwolf on Thursday, August 07 @ 06:30:54 EST (33 reads) |

MxO lead developer and story writer Ben Chamberlain (aka Rarebit) recently posted a great summarisation of The Matrix Online's storyline to date, by both chapter and subchapter.
Be sure to check it out at the following address:
http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/posts/preList.m?topic_id=36300024703&post_id=36300485319
Do bear in mind however that this is merely a summary and for a far more involving and in depth experience you should head on down to your local Archivist Vendor in-game and start playing the Archival Missions available there, now with no negative effect to your organizational reputation!
Not only that but the story continues weekly so the only way to truely keep your pulse on the happenings within The Matrix is to keep on playing and keep on ringing those controllers every thursday!

10.3.5 Critical Mission Summaries
Posted by cloudwolf on Monday, July 28 @ 03:14:38 EST (27 reads) |
|
Each week (except week 6 of the patch cycle, but you know) The Matrix Online is graced with 3 new critical missions, one for each organization, each progressing the grander storyline in its own way. Now normally, experiencing all sides of said story would involve the tedium of leveling alternate characters for each of the other orgs or waiting until next chapter for the archives to catch up. No longer! as Rumbaar and ZippyTheSquirrel team up to bring you the complete story as it happens!
So feel free to click the links below for your spoilerific weekly dose of critical mission goodness.
Zion Critical Mission 10.3.5
Machine Critical Mission 10.3.5
Merovingian Critical Mission 10.3.5
You might also notice a new 'Mission Summaries' link has been added to the 'Misc' section of the Database Menu on the the left of the site <<<, all previous summaries can now be found at the Archive Hub there. Enjoy.

OS Re-Formation Complete

As an update to my previous update, I thought I'd let everyone know the reformation of The Omega Syndicate is now complete and we are once again actively seeking new members. If you feel you're up to the task or that the OS is simply a good fit for your gaming mentality (helpful and understanding with a close knit family environment) then submit your application today by checking our guidelines and sending us a wee little email (see the top left of the web page for a dedicated OS section).
Oh and I'd just like to take the chance to thank everyone whos been supportive during this time, especially good friends Reikira, Altais and Draconis.
Also, in case any OS members missed my mass emailing, both in and out of game this afternoon, the full explainatory mail can be found in the 'read more' section of this news story.

Currrent Status Of Rumbaar & The Omega Syndicate
Posted by cloudwolf on Wednesday, March 26 @ 20:11:44 EST (156 reads) |

Well the main page news has been out of date for a little too long me thinks so I thought I'd just let everyone know what’s going on behind the scenes at the moment.
The site's main contributor, Denolus, has moved on to other ventures and thus the site will likely remain, at least in guide content, in an 'as is' state for the foreseeable future.
This does NOT mean the information here is any less valuable however and I'm sure the great work Deno worked on before his departure will remain a valuable resource to players everywhere, especially the new player guide which is still actively being forwarded to trial players.
As for the OS, we're currently undergoing a fairly major reorganisation project to reshuffle rosters, ships and leadership. The end result will be a much simpler to understand and update faction with less baggage weighing us down as we move forward.
Again, this does NOT mean we are refusing applications or interest, we merely ask recruits understand the current situation and are motivated to help progress with the faction during this time.
It’s also important to remember our philosophies have not and will not ever change. We still consider ourselves a close knit family unit and still maintain our high levels of both friendliness and understanding.
Thank you for your time and patience,
The Omega Syndicate.
